Welcome to my webpage. I am Joy Sarkar, an Assistant Professor at the Department of Textile Engineering (TE) at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET). I have dedicated my academic and professional career to advancing the field of textile engineering, focusing on sustainable practices and innovative solutions for the Ready-Made Garments (RMG) sector, which plays a pivotal role in Bangladesh’s economy.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering from Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTex), where I am pursuing my M.Sc. Additionally, I have completed an M.Sc. in Environmental Science and Management from the Bangladesh University of Professionals. My academic journey has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the textile industry’s technical and environmental aspects.

Before joining KUET, I gained valuable industry experience as a merchandiser at Opex and Sinha Textile Group, where I developed insights into the textile sector’s operational challenges and market dynamics. I then transitioned into academia, starting as a Lecturer at the World University of Bangladesh, where I honed my teaching and research skills.
